Critical Discourses and Debates around Brand Identity.

 

Week Four:

Brand Identity in Diverse Fields - Products/Services.

Written paper discussed in detail (writing is personal narrative of the learners' experience with brands they use, why they choose the brand they are designing, how they conducted research analysis an swot and how did it help, and what did they learn by developing and designing a brand style guide).

Week Five:

Project One: Creating a 1-page Overview Brand Style Guide. Project Brief Explained (1 week project).

Studio Practice either online or physical.

 

Week Six:

Project Two: Creating a 20-page Brand Style Guide. Project Brief Explained (6 week project).

Studio Practice either online or physical.

 

Week Seven:

Considering Brand Mission.

 

Week Eight:

Competitor Research and Analysis, SWOT.

 

Week Nine:

Brand Presentation, Communication and Look/Feel.

 

Week Ten:

Exploring Case Studies in more detail. Exploring the weakest to the best. (Part One)

 

Week Eleven:

Exploring Case Studies in more detail. Exploring the weakest to the best. (Part Two)

 

Week Twelve:

Presentation/Critique of Final Projects one and two. Hand in final written paper electronically.

 

 

Studio Practice

Learners are encouraged to develop their own projects supported by their tutor. Typographic workshops are included as they enable learners to develop a project to its completion. The major project encourage learners to narrow their focus and underpin a strong conceptual articulated rationale and position. There is also a final presentation and exhibition of portfolio work.

Research/Writing

This project consists of researching an area of interest and utilising methods/methodologies of research that has been taught throughout the course and writing a 2,000-word report. This piece of writing is prepared alongside the learner's practical project.
